The PTA is a very important organisation within our School
As a parent/carer of a child at our school, you automatically become a member of Friends of Balcombe School (FoBS), our Parent Teacher Association (PTA).
The main aim of the PTA is to raise funds to support activities in school which are to the benefit of all pupils.
The funds provided are an invaluable source of revenue which greatly benefit our school and our children.
There is a Committee which exists to run the various social and fund-raising events held throughout the year. Committee members are elected for one year, though may serve for more on re-election, usually up to a maximum of three years.
Following on from our AGM on 10th October 2024, the current Committee are:
- Alecia Ridout-Garfield (Chairs)
- Peter Nower (Treasurer)
- Alex Williams (Secretary)
Every year we appoint class reps for every class. There is no limit to how many reps we have in each class or year, the more the merrier.
Class reps often stay in role as their children move up through the school. Class reps are also a great point of contact between parents who are keen to help and the PTA committee.
